Problem with compiling modem driver
hi all ,
I use Redhat 9 on a toshiba satellite 1415-s173 .
every parts works fine except modem (iam aware that that laptop has a software modem that doesn't work with linux)
but someone told if I download a specifigc driver from smlink.com
it would work .
I downloaded it and in the instructions the first step is that I should change the kernelinclude variable to a appropriate path
in the makefile and then run make.
but when I do so I gives several pages of errors ,
from the first few lines I underestand that "modules should never use kernel-headers system headers , but rather headers from an appropriate kernel-source package . like (/usr/src/linux/include or similar to ) but I don't find this path on my linux
in the FAQ of smlink website , it says you should set the path to a
kernel native includes , where are they
can any body help
or just anybody has some suggestions .
anything is greatly appreciated
