problem between mysql and php ( new version 5)
hi every body
I ve just read that php version 5 doesn't supporte the connection to mysql version 4, cause license ??
I create and manage a database with php/mysql on linux ( redhat) so I am very puzzled and lost. How to continue if I want to upgrade my php or mysql

If you're just playing around or testing stuff out, PHP 5 beta is fun, but don't rely on it yet. I would recommend that you roll back to PHP 4 if you're having any problems.
Also, I believe that MySQL support exists for PHP 5 - it just doesn't have the bundled library. I think that if you install the MySQL libraries and specify their location using --with-mysql=... you should be fine.
