printing is cancelled but printout continues how to clear the buffer forcably in RHEL
hi friends
I am using cups 1.16 in RHEL 4. I hav a print server computer and 20 clients connected to the above server. I hav few queeries about this
1. Even after giving lprm or lprm - command from server the printouts continues because the printouts were given in loop (using c programme) using lpr command. so how to cancel this job forcably?
2. Is there is any way by which we can clear the buffer of computer in linux through command?
3.Even the setting in /etc/client.conf is proper, the print queue can not be seen from client but able to print from it why?
3. how to allow printing only through lpr and disable printing through gdit and other word processing tools such as openoffice? This is because if i implement print quota using lpoptions this quota works only with lpr command
its urgent frinds because i am working as system Engineer in one of reputed engineering college and this is semester end time
also, you have to allow for the fact that modern printers have substantial buffers. Once the print job reaches the printer, you can't stop it from the server, you have to go to the printer.
