Pplease recommendate some free biological softwares
Hi, I changed to Linux and would like to do some bioinformatics analysis on my DNA,proten sequences etc. I am looking for some free softwares to use. Could you please recommend some like DNASTAR, BioEdit etc to me?

In cases like yours the best method for finding what you're looking for is to do a web search. I did a search using "linux dna software" and immediately found DNALinux. Let us know what you think. If you don't want DNALinux then do your own search and you'll easily find what you want if it exists.

I have found and installed MUSCLE in my PC which can run sequence alignment. However, I need more and find some are not free of charge, like snapgene. What I need is those that perform similar tasks like Bioedit and DNASTAR. Anyone knows them?
