I failed to run VCD/DVD in my linux system.

while movie player(totem) gives the error

I googled it and acording to various advices, installed libdvdcss with no luck. I think this is a major and well discussed problem but cant find the solution.
I can understand this info may not be sufficient, but I don't know which info to deliver. so plz bear with me.
