piping snderr to less, can u do it?

ethtool with no arguments dumps out instructions to of all things, snderr instead of sndout, so ethtool |less does not work. is there a way to get the help screen from ethtool to be piped into less for easy display, searching and reading without doing it in vi or sending 2> to a file to view?

thanks.
