pine/mailbox question

my school mail server is IMAP and i keep getting these notifications that im going to go over my data limit. iwent in and deleted the Sent mailbox and now thunderbird keeps giving me an error saying it cant copy the sent item into the Sent mailbox. how can i recreate this mailbox? thanks

In your home directory somewhere, there should be a file called "sent-mail". Search for it.

there is no item called 'sent-mail' but i created one, and i still get them same error... specifically

The current command did no succeed. The mail server responded: [TRYCREATE] APPEND failed: Cant append to mailbox Sent: no such mailbox
