Once the image is copied to the SD card via dd you can mount the / partition and change the configuration files just like any desktop distribution. The root partition for raspbian is on partition 7 as an example.
No need to partition the SD card prior to copying the image file since anything existing will be overwritten anyway.

waw it works.I didn't know that. I tried some time a go.That time I was not able to change files I got just read only permission.In other operation systems such as Mac os , It couldn't even display linux file system only Fat32.
