Php Zip

I'm trying to get ZIP file support with my PHP installation on Fedora Core 5...I can't figure out how...can't I just get a '.so' module and add it in php.ini? The website says I need to re-compile or something...but I got php installed through the RPM...any ideas?

I did a yum search pecl and noticed there is a php-pecl-zip RPM in the extras repo. Maybe that's all you need.

yum install php-pecl-zip

For any other questions, refer to the manual.
