pgplot shared libraries error

I have "installed" pgplot but when I try to run a demo i get:

error while loading shared libraries: libpgplot.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32


any help please?

Looks like you installed 32-bit library and your application is 64-bit.
Try to install 64-bit library
