Perspective Correction Software

I'm looking for a program for perspective correction. In engineering terms, I want to "rectify" a number of images. Is there a program for this? In particular, one which is free or low-cost?

Open source would be a plus.

Thanks!

Is Gimp not what you're looking for?

What exactly do you mean by "perspective correction"?

I can agree with dugan about gimp, it is excellent for images. However some additional information might be in order.

I'm pretty sure that he meant removing the perspective from them, so that, say, parallel lines are parallel and right angles are right angles. He probably meant "rectify" as as in "make more rectangular".

Gimp can certainly do that.

Have you tried a web search? There are plenty of valid results for "correct perspective gimp", including the official documentation for gimp.

In the GIMP toolbox, there are several tools for manipulating perspective. Select the area you want to adust, then use the mouse to adjust accordingly. See this image: http://pineviewfarm.net/weblog/wp-co...erspective.jpg

A detailed step by step is a bit beyond a forum post, but this video tutorial should help: https://blog.meetthegimp.org/episode...day-shot-edit/

Meet the GIMP is the best resource I've found for learning how to use the GIMP. If you watch the first three or four episodes, your friends will think you are a magician.
