persistent audio problem in fedora 11

Hey I am having trouble with the audio in fedora 11 I have tried the guides for removing pulseaudio and reinstalling it with no success well sort of it worked better but rythembox and my audio were still not in sync with eachother rythembox would be at like 30 and my volume control would be maxed but i could live with that just when I rebooted it was back to having really low volume even when at maximum. I tried just switching to alsa aswell but alsa was just choppy and sounded like a skipping cd but now I cant even seem to get that its really low too. I've checked all the settings everything is maximum. Gstreamer isnt connecting for some reason I am baffled here. I'm about ready to shove my keyboard through the monitor and scream at it lol. Any help here is greatly appreciated.
