Permission denied for "ant" ..........

Hello guys,
I tried to use
ant dbsetup_postgreSQL

to setup a postgresql database but i am gettng permission denied error on ant.

I have installed ant in /usr/ant and have added ant installation path in PATH variable. Also I am logged in as a root.

Thanks in advance.

So you have added /usr/ant/bin to your path?

If you type

ant -version

what happens?

And if you type

which ant

what happens then?
