peculiar problem with samba share


peculiar problem . i am not able to edit my files on samba share but i am able to read . when i try to save any changes it gives an error signal that file is read only. cannt save where as i a have put the share "Read only = no". what should i do ? i am stuck up with this problem 4 some time now.

Did you created these files by yourself using this samba only ?
Otherwise.. Make sure that the effective permissions on that folder or that file has "w" for it either for your group or your user.

And if this doesnt help you out; Please post the your smb.conf with
Code:
testparm -s smb.conf.orginal > smb.conf.temp
