PDFedit , Need help!!

FC8 i386
Using PDFeditor to remove and add text in a .pdf file.
You click on the big I (Select Text) and drag over text and click on 'Del' , right ??
Well thats what I do and it won't highlight text to remove.
I have read the Docs on 'pdfedit' and that's what it says.

PLEASE HELP !!
