Password policy


In my RH server , when the user password is expired , then the user is unable to change the password , but only root user can change this password , could advise what is the problem ? thx.

That's there so you (root) can expire an acct & stop the user logging back in regardless. IOW, it's supposed to do that.

is it the function of "chage" ? if I want to disable it , please advise how to do it ? thx
