Pan starting problems

I have installed pan multiple times. each time it installs fine. i have checked the libs i need, but whenever i start pan i still get errors.

/usr/bin/pan: error while loading shared libraries: libgnet-1.1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The Pan page says gnet 2.0 or higher required i have gnet 2.0.4

yet i am still getting libgnet errors.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched every thread with pan in it, none of the results have answered my questions.

someone has got to know what the problem is. i have searched through plenty of other Pan topics before creating this one. So i know there are people who have gotten this working and can possibly help out.

eh. never mind. got a newer version then what i had before. for some reason nothing but the newest beta version will work for me.
