Thumbs down OpenOffice interface doesn't work

I tried to update OpenOffice - my Mandriva had an old version - and followed the instructions on the OO.org website. But it seems that KDE integration is off or something... The colours are horribly wine-ish , as well as the interface, and sometimes loading OpenOffice Writer crashes my window decorator. OpenOffice in itself works fine, though.

OO version: 2.4
Mandriva 2008.0

HELP !

hi

Try changing your theme to a different one.
I had a similar problem with Open Office until I changed
to a different theme.
Hope this helps

"Crux" and "Human" sound like Gnome/Ubuntu themes, not KDE..but of course I could be wrong.

If you upgraded openoffice by installing the Mandriva-specific rpm, there shouldn't be any problems - but then again, make sure you have installed all the packages you might need. If you didn't install trough rpm, it could be that you need to do some manual configuration changes to get the outlook better; not sure, but see if Mandriva users have something to say.

export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=kde
