OpenOffice inserting blamk pages - workaround

I've been using mailmerge in OpenOffice.org 2.0 (single page letters, merged to 200+ recipients). OpenOffice inserts a blank page between each document - this is not a bug, but a "feature", though I have found out that the team are working on offering an option to turn this off in 2.0.2

Anyway - if you are experiencing this, and finding it annoying, I have found a workaround. Export the document as PDF. It will be exported with the blank pages included. However, Acrobat Reader's print dialogue offers an option to print odd numbered pages only. This saves you from having to extract the blank pages and load them back into the printer.
