openoffice 1.1.5 problem

Hi,

when i want to save a file in openoffice 1.1.5 I get this error message (but the files is saved fine):

Error saving the document /
/user/basic/script.xlc/:
General error.
General input/output error.

I saw that when I run openoffice as root , that error does not happen. But I don't want to switch to root every time i want to run openoffice

I hope somebody can help me

Eh, I've got that same problem but with OOo 1.1.4 running under windows. It seems to be more of an annoyance than a major problem and I just learned to live with it.

Just downloaded OOo 2 Beta and it doesn't have that problem. 2.0 Beta seems to be pretty stable so that might be an option.
