Open source equivalent to Citrix web interface / Xenapp / whatever
Hi,
I've been working with various Citrix technologies for a number of years. However, I'm simply sick and tired of their license model.
Does anyone know of an open alternative for launching applications from a web session (like Citrix web interface).
I'm not looking for a vnc (or similar) solution.
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanx

For linux you can find FreeNX or the commercial NX ( www.nomachine.com), but for Windows... I also have to use Citrix.

Hi,
Even me have to use Citrix Client at office. Can we use any open source client for accessing our office site which is based on Citrix. Nothing at the server end only at our end so everybody is happy. Something like accessing MS Exchange mails through 'Evolution'.

couldn't you set up freenx, and have the OS run in a vm on the OS server that then gets served up by FreeNX?

I'll unearth this again, as I feel that cross-platform computing at a low/free cost is ideal to a lot of people. I'm interested as well. NoMachine looks really intersting. I have yet to try it out.
