Ogle - Strange Error!

Well, I have a toshiba 4600 laptop, with a dvd drive that I am trying to get to read dvds. So I have suse 9.2 on it, but due to leagal issues dvd playback was not included. After some time on google I found ogle, and gave it a shot. I can get the gui to work and all, but I get this same error message every time -

libdvdread: Could not open /dev/dvd with libdvdcss
libdvdread: Can't open /dev/dvd for reading
ERROR[ogle_nav]: Can't open/read the DVD
DVDsetDVDRoot :: Root not set

So, I've google everything and can;t find any answers. Also, I've run ogle /dev/cdrecorder and ogle /dev/cdrom to try to rectify it. I just get the same error with that in the place of /dev/dvd. Any ideas? -Bill

You need to install the libdvdcss rpm package for Suse 9.2

Here is a website called Suse 9.2 DivX stuff which tells you what to do and where to download libdvdcss

Ok, thankyou for the website - but I am still having problems. I have to create a symlink from /dev/dvd to /media/cdrecorder where my drive really is. Unfortunatly the command: ln -s /dev/dvd /media/cdrecorder always gives me the error that /dev/dvd already exists. Perhaps I am doing this wrong, any pointers would be awesome. So, no matter what I do, xine loads and then gives me the "no mrl" error. When I try to play it, it says

1) There is no plugin to hanfle dvd:/ maybe MRL syntax is wrong or file does not exist.

and

2) The source can not be read - perhaps there is no disk in the drive (dev/dvd)

So, I think the problem is that it's not linking right. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx a bunch in advance though! -bill
