Red face NUT: Cannot execute command as no root

Hello,

I'm dealing with executing ups (nut) commands as no root user. i'm explaining myself.

i'm using nut to monitor my ups inveter(APC SMart 750RM) so all nut services are running well and when i want to get status of my ups inveter use command upsc -l or upsc "nameofmyups" but can only do this as root.

so when i do it as toto user i get a "Error: Connection failure: Connection timed out" it was working before till now.

i have installed it on other machine everything works fine with the same configuration. that what got me crazy.

i have added toto user to nut group no change, changed permissions of /dev/usb/002/005 from 0660 to 0666.

if someone can help that will send me in seventh glad.

best regards,
Diogène

Maybe you can use sudo on your distro to run root commands(?).
