I am trying to load a program on my new red hat 7.2 machine, it requires some specific rpms. I used the nice little GnoRPM to load the rpms i needed off the net, I found the ones I wanted clicked on them clicked the install button and then it poped up a window and said "do you want to download these files?" I cliked yes. Then it goes away as if I had cliked NO. Is there something I am missing to get GnoRPM to work right?
i'd say it's quite likely that it's simply not been properly written yet. linux is a permanent work-in-progress, my version of gnorpm has a number of unconnected things on it.
so how should I load these rpms now? Do I need to unzip them into each individual /usr/bin....blah, blah, blah directory?
by the way, could it be that I need to set some special downloading permissions, could that be the reason it says "cant download files"? also, I did a net install so I have no cd, do I need a cd in order to perform the download?
