No sound in video for Mandriva 2011

Hi I just tried Mandriva 2011 and its a great KDE distro like Opensuse 12.3(my previous distro) anyway my problem is there's no sound for video,I'm using default player Sm player but log off and in sound, and music sound is playing.... I'm using Packard bell Easynote TS laptop with 4gig ram,i3 cpu, and intergrated 1gig nvidia geforce.... Please help and thank u in advance

Do you encounter any error messages? More details would be helpful. Off the top of my head, I think you ought to change the settings of smplayer to use pulseaudio, as KDE uses it to play audio and stuff. Actually KDE uses phonon, but phonon (at least what I've seen) uses pulseaudio as the backend.

Try running mplayer directly in a terminal, as it will pin point your problem accurately.
