No Sound in Firefox

I've got a problem with sounds in flash movies/games in Firefox.
After apt-get upgrade, both Firefox and macromedia flash were updated. Everything seems to work fine in Firefox, except sound. No sound in flash videos.
Can anyone help?
Using SimplyMEPIS Linux, and debian repositories.

try to see if it's a permissions problem. Maybe there's an "audio" group you have to be in to play it... or you can just chmod 666 the sound device.

There is an audio group, but I'm already in it. All other sound related software works.
And I tried chmod 666 /dev/dsp, but it didn't help (dsp is the audio device, right?)

yeah, as far as I know. You can try the other sound-looking devices. Maybe messing with the permissions of the plugin?

You need the ALSA-OSS emulation layer installed and then just start Firefox like this:
Code:
aoss firefox

Dunno, never used Debian to know their package setup but that's what works for me.
