No /lib/modules/2.6.10

Hi,
I'm compiling the 2.6.10 kernel on slackware 10.1 following the instructions
here.
The problem is, when I try to run mkinitrd, it can't find the reiserfs module. This is because the 2.6.10 directory was not creatd in /lib/modules. Can anyone give any suggestions n how to sort this out.

Did you run the make modules_install command after you build the kernel? That is the command that makes the /lib/modules/<kernel-version> directory and populates it.

Yeah, I ran it a number of times just to check.
I think I'll run throuhg the whole compile again...
