nftsresize

I have two partitions on my HDD with NTFS file system, running Win XP
SP2.
Partition 1 (C: 80GB (has win XP)
Partition 2 (D: 170GB
I want to reduce the size of partition 1 to 40 GB and allocate the
remaining 40 GB to second partition 2

I am using SystemrescueCD (which includes ntfsresize program)to
resize the partition 1.

When I run it, it is showing only the partition 1 (C and not showing the
second partition 2 (D. But it is giving an option to resize
partition 1.
If I resize it (reduce), will the unused space automatically added
to second partition 2 ?

Thanks in advance.
Regards
Mallik

No.

If you aren't familiar with partitions, you might find it much easier to use the GUI tool called QTPARTED.
The recent versions of system rescue or knoppix has that program.
