I need to know the site where I can get totem plugins. I get a message stating the need for such plugins each time I attempt to play a DVD. I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

You could use the following....
su to root
apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-good gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
That oughta do it.
