need to create 8bpp (256colour) images...
does anyone know of a graphics program that will give me the option to save (for now BMP) images as 8bpp (RGB). I'm using GIMP-1.2 , and it saves as 24bpp (unless i use grayscale). I thought maybe it was pulling some default option from the Xserver, i'm running on a FBserver config, so I just tried to boot up in 1024x768x256 and still it saves as 24bpp.
if GIMP can do what I need, and anyone knows how SWEET. if anyone *knows* any other utility that will allow me to do what i need, SWEET. :)
