Need surefire way to build 64-bit libs with cmake -> /usr/lib64

I know of these ways of attempting to force cmake to install libraries in /usr/lib64:

Code:
-DLIB_SUFFIX=64
-DLIB_INSTALL_DIR=/usr/lib64
But, these don't always work. Notable examples are:
Orge3d, physfs, and others that I've forgotten.

Is there any way I can force cmake to install libs here ? I want something that works every time. Does it exist ?

I think you may have trouble getting this to work every time, since it will depend on how flexibly the individual CMakeLists.txt files have been written for each thing you are compiling.
