Yes, that's the package I'm actually looking for, but my question is rather: where could I get it? So far I wasn't able to retrieve a compatible version for my settings, here the details:

SL 6.0, EL6, x86_64

Do you know where I can find the corresponding openssl package to install it?

Have you tried:

Code:

??

Yup, but it didn't create the specific libraries I want (.so.6).
Any idea how I can get this fixed, guys?

Oh. You can find out like this:
Code:
# yum whatprovides libcrypto.so.6
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin
openssl098e-0.9.8e-17.el6.i686 : A compatibility version of a general cryptography and TLS library
Repo : rhel-x86_64-server-6
Matched from:
Other : libcrypto.so.6
You want to install openssl098e.
