need kernel source


My build in /lib/modules is looking for this source
usr/src/kernels/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5-i686
now that link is broken (may be it cant find source)

please some one give me the source for fedora 5 i686 ( i searched in kernel.org but not able 2 find it)

You should be able to download it with fedoras update/package management tool (is it yum?)

To me it looks more as if you're trying to compile something and the compiler can't find kernel headers - that's what you need to install I guess: the kernel headers for your installed kernel. You can find kernel-devel on the dvd or you can download from the internet

yum install kernel kernel-headers kernel-devel

This command will also install a newer kernel (if available).

Also, make sure that the kernel-devel has the same numbers as your kernel (they need to match).
