To me it looks more as if you're trying to compile something and the compiler can't find kernel headers - that's what you need to install I guess: the kernel headers for your installed kernel. You can find kernel-devel on the dvd or you can download from the internet
yum install kernel kernel-headers kernel-devel
This command will also install a newer kernel (if available).
Also, make sure that the kernel-devel has the same numbers as your kernel (they need to match).
