I am running Gentoo Linux on x86.
I have Metacity/Gnome installed and have recently switched to FLUXBOX.
I love FLUXBOX.
I have one problem. The application fonts in fluxbox are too small.
The fluxbox menus and toolbars are ok. The application fonts (Mozilla, Gaim, etc) are way too small to read. I have to zoom on Mozilla just to read anything.
I tried changing the Font in the style I am using, but only changes the Menu and Toolbar font. I cannot find a way to change my application fonts.
I can't for the life of me remember the name of
the tool (haven't touched gnome in a year), but
what you need is the gnome-applet that controls
fonts in gnome .... :)
You can use gtk-theme-switch. It comes in versions for both GTK2 and "classic" GTK+ and allows you to choose what theme to use (surprise! ) and also what font to use.
With the exception of mozilla, that worked fine.
Ok, so if I never had GNOME or GTK stuff installed, how do you fluxbox users change your fonts and stuff?
If you're using Mozilla Firebird,
Tools > Options > Web Features > Fonts & Colors
As for changing general fonts, I either do it for individual applications, or I don't do it at all...never had much interest in system-wide themes. If my fluxbox theme doesn't handle color changes on certain applications, I just don't bother.
What I have to do in all mozilla based browsers is set a minimum font size(it defaults to none I believe) so that some pages that display smaller fonts are still readable.
