need help installing Really Slick Screensaver

hi im new to linux and so far only learn a few things, anyhow i saw this really cool screensaver package called Really Slick Screensaver, now i've downloaded the tarball, and when i try to install it, it won't install. I get the error message "getopt missing, required" so i though i was missing that so i went and get getopt and install it, but to my surprise it was already installed on my system, so i ran the command:

./configure

to check the dependancy of the package, but again it fail and said that "getopt is missing"

is anyone else having this problem or know how to solve this, please help

by the way im running SuSE 9.3 Pro and trying to intall "Really Slick Screensaver 0.8.0"

Logged in as root? Maybe you just don't have sufficient permissions to run that program.

Could be that you need the getopt development packages installed? Is there a getopt-dev (or -devel) package on your install CD?
