ndiswrapper

hey guys

im sorry if this thread has been reposted by another user but i need help,

i have opened backtrack 3 on vmware for kernel 2.6
but because i have a wlan 1395 card mini that it is not supported, i am trying to install the driver via ndiswrapper but in the instructions there is something that i cant manage to do :

Prerequisites
=============

You need a recent kernel, at least 2.6.16, with header files for the
kernel. Make sure there is a link to the kernel source from the modules
directory. The command

ls /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build

should have at least 'include' directory and '.config' file.

can anyone brielfy explain what i should do here?

thanks in advance

make sure you're on kernel 2.6.16+ and make sure you have the kernel-source package installed from your distro for your running kernel

Wait a minute. Are you saying that you are trying to use ndiswrapper on a Virtual Machine?
