Nagios and snmp authentication

Hi list

I am having a problem with check_snmp_xxx plugins. Oh they are working, that is OK, BUT it is in plaintext (community is going in plaintext). I have put on WIN client that it is READ-ONLY, but would dtill like to see some encruption.
Since on WIN it is snmp v2, it should be possible, but HOW???
Please some help. or URL!
THNKS in advance!

Most likely the check_snmp_xxx plugin was not build with encryption in mind.

You could check out the NagiosExchange (http://www.nagiosexchange.org/Home.62.0.html). They have many custom plugins and mods for existing plugins that may provide you with more of what you are looking for.
