MYSQLTCL error during ./configure

Hello,

I'm attempting to install sgiul (a front end for snort) on RedHat Enterprise Linux 3. The last line after running ./configure is this:

checking for mysql header... configure: error: Cannot find mysql.h

Mysql is installed (compiled from source). How can I fix this error? A search of my system doesn's find mysql.h.

Thanks,
Mark

In what directory did you install MySQL? Usually mysql.h is put in the $INSTALL_DIR/include/mysql directory when MySQL is compiled from source. If you installed MySQL to an out of the way place, that probably won't be in the default search path for header files. There should be an option to configure tro tell it where to look --with-mysql=<directory> or something similar -- check ./configure --help to find out for sure.
