Music Player Track Change Notifications

Manjaro Cinnamon

Notifications are turned off in System Settings
The music players have "Notifications" turned off where the option is available

And yet I'm still getting all the track changes popping out of the tray

This is a new install - not had this issue before

If might help if you were to provide information about which audio player you are asking about.

Have you checked settings in the audio player itself?

Oops.
Yes, I've checked the settings in each of
rhythmbox, quayadeque, audacious, quod libet, goggles and lollypop (random choices)

they're installed the same as always (from the repos) and any notification or popup options I found turned off

new install on new machine

Some apps do that all by themselves.
It's different from system notifications.

Strawberry is cooperating - turning off notifications in it actually worked - the only one without those pesky, annoying popups.
Found my new player, I guess.

Try audacious. It never annoyed me with anything I didn't want.
