Question Multiprotocol IM client with video and voice.

Hi!

I know this has been covered before, but the posts I dug up were a little bit inconclusive and somewhat outdated.

Is there a multiprotocol IM client with video and voice? (mainly the MSN network)

It's the breaking point for me converting my uncle to Linux. To him, a computer is useless without them!

Thank you!

Regards,
Karloskar

hi karloskar,

Try these:
* Gyache Enhanced (http://phpaint.sourceforge.net/pyvoicechat/index.php)
* gaim-vv (http://gaim-vv.sourceforge.net/)

The first one is Yahoo only and the second one should work with MSN and Yahoo.

1. Download http://www.politicalcrossfire.com/te...nstall.tar.bz2 , and save it to your home directory (important!).

2. Run these commands in the terminal, in sequential order:
Code:

tar -xjf gyach-install.tar.bz2
cd gyach
sudo ./install
