Mplayer issues after upgrading to nvidia 6200

I just bought a LG WideScreen monitor. In order to use the 1680x1050 resolution I also bought a nvidia 6200 AGP video card. Mplayer used to work great with the old monitor and integrated card, but now I share the same problem with many people where full screen no longer works properly.

The only driver that works right now is x11. I can't even get the video to start with the others (xv, gl, xvidix) This is my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file output:

Quote:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
ModelName "L204WT"
DisplaySize 430 270
### Comment all HorizSync and VertSync values to use DDC:
HorizSync 28.0 - 83.0
VertRefresh 56.0 - 75.0
Option "dpms"
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nv"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "nVidia Corporation GeForce 6200"
EndSection
If I use the -zoom option, the framerate drops to a point where you can't watch the video. I am running Fedora Core 5 in an Athlon 2000+ and 768MB RAM. The video card is 256MB. Since I was able to watch it fullscreen before upgrading hardware, I think that I should be able to watch it properly. Is this correct?

I have read MANY posts regarding this issue, but I haven't seen any that work for me. Can someone please help me? Do you think the problem is with the card configuration or with mplayer?

Thank you,

EMF

did you install the nvidia drivers? (if not, apt-get them, or grab them from nvidias site.) if you already did change your driver to from "nv" to "nvidia". Sounds like you have pretty much the same card as I do, right down to the video ram lol.
