MPlayer is Awesome

I just installed mplayer-1.0pre3-1.i386. It is AWESOME!!!!!!! Anyone who is using ogle or xine ought to give MPlayer a test drive. It installed easily, there are codecs for virtually any format you need, and playback is smooth and the audio synchronizes exactly with the video (unlike xine). I wanted to give very public Kudos to the kind folks at www.MPlayerHQ.hu for an exceptional piece of software.

Well, almost everyone I know uses MPlayer

So there is no great surprise that they are very good

True that...MPlayer is easily the best media player available, unless there's some obscure piece of amazing software available that somehow hasn't seen the light of day. I've tried at least a dozen media players on windows, a few on mac, and a few on Linux...nothing seems to be able to touch this.
