mouse pointer snap to window resize in metacity: increase size of region?

When you move the mouse pointer towards the border of a window, as to resize it, I would like to increase the "mouse snap" region, that is, increase the width of places I can put the mouse pointer and still resize the window. Right now, it looks only to be 5-10 pixels. 20 would be nice?

Obscure question. Brownie points to he with the question!

Thanks
