Mount a USB remotely

Hi

I couldn't find an answer to this with search, so here goes:

A Palm is connected through a USB-PORT to a normal Windows PC. This PC is connected to a Linux application server, which again is connected to a eGroupware-Server. I want to synchronize the calender on the PALM with the eGroupware-Server. My idea was to somehow "remote-mount" the PALM to the Application-Server, and then sync it. Is it possible to remote-mount a PALM (which is connected to a "normal" machine) through the network to another machine? The machine, to which the PALM is connected CAN use LINUX AND WINDOWS.

Thanks
