"more than 1,024 characters" issue on Kate v3.8.1 [Fedora 16, KDE 4.8.1]

When I open an old text file in Kate v3.8.1 for KDE 4.8.1 that has more than 1024 characters in a single paragraph, I get this error:

Quote:
The file (filename) was opened and contained too long lines (more than 1,024 characters). Too long lines were wrapped and the document is set to read-only mode, as saving will modify its content.
This doesn't happen when I open the same file on my other computer with Kate v3.6.5 for KDE 4.6.5.

Is this a bug in KDE 4.8.1 or are there settings I need to change to make this go away in Kate v3.8.1?

Thanks!
