mondo rescue

Before I go to the trouble of installing mondorescue I wonder if anyone can answer a question that I haven't found an answer to yet.

If I use mondo to backup to an external HDD and just burn the first iso to a CD will I be able to recover later by booting that CD and then restore my system by pointing mondorestore to the HDD where all the iso files are?

I really don't want to burn 10-20 CDs everytime I feel the need to do a full recovery backup of my system. Burning the one boot CD is fine each time, but not all of them.

Any help appreciated,
Simon

Yes, you can, I've done just that in the past. You might also want to check out systemimager and mkcdrec. Play with all three, perhaps one of them would be better suited to your exact needs.

Thanks very much, I will check those out as well.

Cheers.
