modprobe ndiswrapper fails

everything looks good, driver and hardware present. On modprobe nothing happens. I try ifconfig/iwconfig and nothing shows up. Dmesg shows "ndiswrapper: probe of 0000:03:02.0 failed with error -22"

Ndiswrapper Problems

I am probably the last person who should be replying on this topic...

Last night I messed around with ndiswrapper to get my Linksys (Broadcomm) pcmcia adapter to work.

I uninstalled ndiswrapper from my SUSE 10.1 machine and downloaded the latest and greatest version from sourceforge.

After the install I did the ndiswrapper -i <windows .inf file>, and then ndiswrapper -l which showed the driver installed, and the hardware present. Still nothing was working. The modprobe ndiswrapper command was not working either.

I used the guide found here to figure out the problem - turned out I needed to delete ndiswrapper.ko and THEN follow the guide through to get everything to work.

Hope this helps,

Deion "Mule" Christopher

separately, try running "ndiswrapper -m" and "modprobe ndiswrapper" as root. after those two, run "depmod -a" as root. that should do it.

If you get "probe of XXXX:YY.ZZ.A failed with error -22", you may have IRQ problems...... can be found here - http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m.../index.php/FAQ
