hi
i have rh9 running samba as a pdc for my win98 clients

basically i have created a directory /samba/profiles

where my roving profiles are stored

now if i create there directories manually all is well but i want mkhomedir to auto create them at first user login from the 98 client

so ive added to my smb.conf file

template homedir = /samba/proofiles/U%

then i have added to my /etc/pam/d/samba file at the top of the sessions part

sesssion required pam_mkhomedir.so skel=/samba/skel umask=0022

all directories are created and have correct access privilages but if i do not create the users profile manually in /samba/profiles when the user tries to log in instead of pam creating the dir from the skel and loging the user in it just denies access with an invalid user / password :-(



any help would be appreciated
maybe im missing some winbind stuff in my smb.conf file???
