Missing OOo 1.1.3 KDE Menu Entries
Hi all,
I installed OpenOffice.org 1.1.3 on my Fedora Core 1, but I cannot find any KDE menu entries. In GNOME, there is no problem.
Can anybody help me "restore" the entries, please?
Regards,
Rykel

Does your version of OOo have KDE support compiled in? If not, you can get a version which does at http://kde-apps.org/news/index.php?i...orumexplevel=0
KDE support offers more than just menu integration; you can see full details at http://kde.openoffice.org/index.html
However, if you just want to recreate the icons, then right-click on the K menu, and choose to edit the menu. Then point your new entries at the various OOo binaries. To find where they are, use:
Code:
locate OOo | grep bin
Hope that helps,

Hello Robert,
Thanks for that advice... Anyway, I used apt-get/synaptic to retrieve the OpenOffice.org Quickstarter (Ooqs) program and had it installed.
Then, I added a System Tray to my KDE panel, and OK, it serves my purpose now... ie. able to see a menu of OOo sub-programs.
I appreciate your assistance!!
Best Regards,
Rykel
