Mirror a Mail Server

Good Day

We have a huge mail cluster with approximately 12 Servers in it, We are reinstalling them and want to know how I can install one server, get all the configuration files correct on the first server etc and then just mirror that server onto the other 11 machines so I don't have to go and reinstall 11 machines and do the configuration another 11 times.

Thanks

And you are using what OS ? There are some different methods you can use to either perform the install on all the machinesidentically, or you could image the drives depending on the system setup (is RAID involved ? )

more info is needed for a helpful response..

for debian based distros lookup
dpkg --get selections > selections.txt
dpkg --set selections < selections.txt
also check out FAI http://www.informatik.uni-koeln.de/fai/

RedHat lookup kixstart (I think this should still be around for centos, RHEL

After setup you can simply copy the config files over

Disk imaging using a product like Acronis..

if the other machines are brand new you can get the system how you want it, tar it, and then untar the system onto each other system. That should work, you will just need to load Grub into the boot loader
